I am veteran of WWII. I was in North Africa at Tobruk and El Alamein as well as Borneo and Palestine. I am a native South Australian from Tarlee and in civilian life I had my own butcher's shop and was a very keen dinghy sailor.\n\nLast year - Oct 2012 - I was fortunate to be one of the Australian veterans chosen to return to El Alamein on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the battle. These are my stories as shared with my friends at the Life Story Circle.
