I was born in a house which had no indoor plumbing and no electricity. Cooking was done on a wood-burning stove, and oil lamps were used for lighting after dark. The doctor and nurse who "delivered me" were Dr. Belo Stone and his ever faithful nurse Mrs. Wratten. Although they were not married at that time, they eventually did marry.
