I am researching my Stafford line and have so traced back to 1749 with Thomas Stafford and his marriage to Mary Conway in Sandal Magna church just south of Wakefield England. I have found Stafford records going back much further back from the same Sandal Magna (now St. Helen's) church but, the records contain limited information and it is near impossible to be definitive about who actually is connected to my line.
