Jill 's great grandfather HH Tilbrook wrote notebooks of his journeys throughout South Australia. Here she reads the introduction to his journey via rail to the South East of the State.  

Henry H Tilbrook, Jill's great-grandfather, a keen photographer, also kept notebooks on his various adventures throughout South Australia.  Jill talks about one such notebook from the year 1900, which describes his journey to the South East of South Australia.

Jill joined the Brownies when she was 9 years old and then advanced into the Girl Guide movement in 1953.  She describes what she learned during her years as a member, in particular the personal development, skills and outdoor activities.

Jills talks about participating in Sports Days at Cabra College and how she developed into a good tennis player.  She also outlines her sporting interests over her life.  

Jill describes a birthday party when she was between 8 and 10 years of age, the friends that came and details the efforst of her mother in preparation and baking to make birthday parties very memorable.

Continuing her stories of the branches of her family, this week Jill talks about her maternal side, the Gebhardts.

Grandparents. In this audio Jill Sayner recalls her maternal grandparents.  

Jill Sayner recalls her grandfather, R H Tilbrook, who was the proprietor of the "Northern Argus" in Clare, South Australia. The paper was founded by his father ( H H Tilbrook) who was also noted for his early photographic work.  

Christmas is a special time of year and every family has its special memoroes. Here Jill Sayner shares her favourite Christmas memories.  

Jill shares the memorable things of her childhood and as a young adult.  She remembers the Annual John Martins Xmas Pagaent, the Royal Adelaide Show and the first Adelaide Festival of Arts.

After marrying, Jill and Brian rented their first home in Port MacDonnell in the south eastern corner of South Australia. Jill talks about going back to Clare, South Australia, after her education in Adelaide and working in her first job as a Pharmacy Assistant for 2 years.  She then moved back to Adelaide and worked as a Clerical Assistant with Clarksons.
