Lisa's favourite teacher was Mr Sykes. He was from England and taught her English in Grade 6 at Salisbury Primary School. She believes that he was instrumental in her development, particularly in the areas of English, writing and Art.
Annette says she was never a great sports person but she did excel at swimming. As a hobby she enjoyed sewing and square dancing but writing has been with her all her life.
Alice talks about her marriage to Stan, a Polish migrant, and the story he told her when he saw a Deutz 1938 tractor in the Edililie Museum. He remembers how a tractor like this saved his life during the final years of World War Two.
