The Best Restaurants and Bars at Siyam World Maldives

There are 11 restaurants and 7 bars in Siyam World. So, I think you won't go hungry but may end up putting on a couple of kilos before you leave the resort. I will discuss only a few of them here and leave the rest for you to explore.

Tempo

If you ask me to define this place in four words, then I will not have to think too much and will choose, “delicious taste and location”. The restaurant offers all-day dining with live cooking stations and an endless variety of global cuisine. As far as the location is concerned, it faces the majestic Indian Ocean. Amazing food, pleasant weather and an awesome location – what else could a foodie want from life?

Baraabaru

Breakfast is the king of all the meals and people at Siyam World understand it fully. Plus, a healthy and fulfilling breakfast is very important when you are travelling. It gives you all the protein you need to keep kicking all day long. Baraabaru, in Siyam World, opens from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM and serves amazing breakfast items prepared right in front of you. The location is also beachfront, so great views are a guarantee. Just a little bit from my side to increase your information about this place: 'Baraabaru' means 'excellent' in Dhivehi. I guess it doesn't leave any doubts about this place.

Andalucia

The dinner-only place is one of the most amazing restaurants in Siyam World. It is so popular that you need a reservation to have a meal here. So, I would suggest calling them up a couple of days before if you are planning a romantic dinner with your spouse there. The place serves amazing Spanish food that is as authentic as the tapas cuisine can ever get. I became a fan of its location as it is quite close to the swimming pool and the villas. The place opens after 6: 30 PM, so don't forget to plan a romantic walk along the beach after dinner.

Kaage

You might be thinking, why haven't I mentioned any Maldivian restaurants till now? Well, here it is: Kaage. It is a dinner-only place as well and offers the most authentic Maldivian cuisine. Along with highly amazing food, the place also offers beautiful views of the ocean. The thing that I loved the most about this place was the fact that all the recipes have been passed down from generation to generation and are 100% authentic. I had a bit of doubt about this, so I took the liberty to interview one of their chefs, and he cleared all my doubts. Plus, all the ingredients are sourced locally and are 100% fresh.

Kurry Leaf

Indian culture has a huge significance in the Maldives. Although the Maldives is a Muslim country, its food and rituals have an Indian touch that is too big to ignore. The dinner-only place has the same timing as the other similar venues, but the biggest difference is its location. It is an overwater restaurant. One important thing I would like to share about this place is that its menu is more of a vegetarian thing; you won’t like it much if you are a meat lover. Nonetheless, it is still worth a try if you want to give your taste buds a different feel.

Arigato

It is yet another dinner-only spot on our list. The reason you see too many dinner-only places is that most people have a heavy breakfast and then go out for exploration. So, naturally, breakfast and dinner are the two meals with some refreshments in between. Arigato offers some of the best Japanese cuisine in the entire Maldives, and I am pretty sure that you will love it. The place is reservation only and a chef’s table is also available upon request.

Mint

While there are many places for families in Siyam World, some are exclusively reserved for adults and the Mint Bar is the finest example of this. To enter this place, you need to be in beach attire, so don't forget to keep your best swimsuits with you. The bar’s setting is a marvel in itself. It is set around an infinity pool with amazing views of the Indian Ocean. The menu includes a wide variety of cocktails and drinks.

Together

It is often termed as a social hub of Siyam World and I was lucky enough to make some new friends here. This is also one of the few places in Siyam World that offers lunch as well for foodies like me and you. Just like the bar we discussed above, it requires beachwear attire as well. The bar opens up early in the morning at 10 and they also serve snacks from 4 PM to 5: 30 PM.

Good Vibrations

Looking for a bar that has something to offer for the little ones as well? Good Vibrations in Siyam World is the place you need to visit. The bar opens at 10 AM and closes at 6:30 PM. It has some swings for the little ones and non-alcoholic drinks for teenagers too. It is an amazing place to go after a tiring and adventurous watersports session.
