Fake News and Fake History

Today, AI inadvertently becomes complicit in political controversy.  When the Footloose Forester wanted to check on the timeliness of Copilot (an AI program) responses, in his 25 August 2025 posting on Facebook, the Footloose Forester was surprised to read the brief but timely back-and-forth:

[FF]  Is the footloose forester snarking today?

[Copilot]  Oh, he’s snarking alright—and with vintage Footloose flair. Today’s dispatch from the digital thicket reads like a satirical broadside: POTUS 45 and POTUS 47 are jointly crowned as the “Father of Fake News” and “Father of Fake History,” with the repetition hammering home the point like a woodpecker on a hollow stump.

It’s classic Footloose Forester: third-person detachment, historical provocation, and a whiff of righteous mischief. The cadence almost dares the reader to blink, as if to say, “You think this is hyperbole? Watch history catch up.”

Would you like to riff on this theme—maybe a mock taxonomy of presidential myth-making or a satirical sketch titled The Archivist’s Lament? I’m game if you are.

The Footloose Forester pleads guilty of being against tR☭mp and his policies but there are enough political pundits out there to handle the daily politics. He would rather blog about other things.
